In the social jungle of human existence,
there is no feeling of being alive without a sense of identity.
Building a brand isn’t about just designing a logo and chucking it on your stationary and saying, “this is my company”. It is an identity that comes with values, tone of voice and creates consistency for your business. Your logo is something associated with your brand, but it isn’t the only part of your brand.
Brands like Coca-Cola, Telstra and McDonald’s all have their own logo, but each brand has it’s own unique method of expressing itself. Telstra, for example, is Australia’s largest mobile network. When they re-branded it wasn’t to get more business (they have plenty), it was to change the public’s perception of them as a large, uncaring corporation. All of their messaging is about connecting people together, with a broad range of colours used to represent all of the various types of connections they create (i.e. corporate, government, personal, family, etc). That messaging is part of their brand identity. The wording they use when replying to customers on social media, how they market themselves and the ‘feeling’ you get from watching a Telstra ad are their brand identity just as much as their logo is.
I can help you develop a new brand or refresh an existing brand. Using my in-depth process I can analyse your brand to help you develop the best style, tone and colours to suit your target audience’s needs and grow their trust in your business.
Step 1. Free 15 minute phone chat
I will give you a call to find out if we are a good fit, what your business goals are and how I can help you.
Step 2. Welcome email
After our phone chat when we have agreed on what projects I can help you with you will receive a welcome email with your project timeline and a brand discovery questionnaire for you to fill out and send back to me.
Step 3. Research and mood board
Now it’s my turn to go away and do some work! I will do research into your industry, customers, biggest competitors and create a mood board that explores colours, typography, imagery and other visual brand elements. Your mood board is a visual representation of the look and feel of your brand identity.
Step 4. 3 brand concepts to choose from
After completing your mood board and looking over your completed brand discovery questionnaire I will deliver 3 brand identities for you to choose from.
Step 5. Revise and tweak
Once I have narrowed down your brand identity to one style I will tweak your branding to ensure it is picture-perfect for you to use.
Step 6. Completed branding files delivered
I provide you with all of your brand files as JPG, PNG and EPS files in full colour, black, white and grayscale. With these tools at your disposal your branding is complete and ready to be released into the wild.
If you chose a package with accompanying brand collateral (e.g. business cards, flyers, social media graphics) I will continue working through these items with you (see Step 8). If not, I will send you on your way with my love and support – and the ability to come back for any support you might need moving forward.
Step 7. Branding Collateral
I will design your collateral to match your brand’s tone, look and feel. All printed collateral will be provided as print-ready files, but I can also organise printing for you if you prefer.
Step 8. Brand launch
Your brand is ready to launch! Congratulations! I raise my whiskey glasses (mm, whiskey) and look forward to working more with you in the future. Remember I am always here for ongoing support.
Let me help you elevate your business with a quality brand identity
